TRINITY OUTREACH PROGRAM

A Taekwondo Outreach Ministry of Trinity UMC.

T.O.P. is led by a team of Black Belt Instructors:
Master Shanae Dees (5th Degree Black Belt),
Master Stacia Ping (4th Degree Black Belt),
Seth Taylor (3rd Degree Black Belt),
Matt Ping (2nd Degree Black Belt),
Jennifer Hardin (2nd Degree Black Belt)
As well as other students who have earned Black Belts within the program.

Program costs:
$1 per class per student + cost of dobok (uniform), sparring gear, & weapons (optional).
Students may be eligible to compete in tournaments throughout the year at the discretion of instructors.
(Students are responsible for tournament fees).

Classes are Held
Mondays & Wednesdays 
 6 pm to 8 pm at our Briley Family Center
643 Fair Ave,  Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Classes are open to participants ages 6 & up.

The program teaches students the art of taekwondo coupled with Biblical teaching.
Students grow in character, confidence and respect as they learn Christian teachings through Bible Studies, Bible verse memorization, and prayer along with taekwondo self-defense, form, weapons, and sparring techniques.


Opportunities for Promotion and Advancement:

T.O.P. holds quarterly promotion tests and demonstrations/belt ceremonies in February, May, August, and November each year.

Students who meet attendance requirements and have demonstrated their commitment to learning forms, self-defense, and sparring techniques and commit an assigned Bible verse to memory may be eligible to test for promotion and advance their degrees (subject to instructor discretion).

All students are invited and encouraged to participate in demonstrations during our Sunday morning worship service at 10:30 am following promotion test dates.
Students who successfully pass their promotion tests will be awarded certificates of promotion and belts/tips during Sunday service.
